Cub Cadet 3100 question
 

Hello all.
long time member , first post , I am looking at purchasing a GT3100
it appears to be in good clean condition. the seller says no problems.
It has 900 hours on it . Is that getting close the the end of the engine life?
also are these good tractors for general use ( no ground engagment but pulling a trailer to haul the usual lawn and garden items. maybe a little firewood.

That tractor should have a Kohler Command 23 HP engine in it. They are great engines and if it was maintained properly it should have lots of life left in it. I usually see them sell in the $1000 to $1500 range with a deck. Ask the seller if there are any oil leaks or known issues.

I have 2 Kohler command 18hp with 1500 hours on them and a 20hp with 1300 hours on it
all still run great
