1782 Brake Switch
 

Hi New to the forums. Just purchased a 1782 Cub with the d640 Diesel. When attempting to start, the light on the dash pops saying (depress left foot pedal).(the pedal was pressed and plunger was pushed in on switch) I traced it down to what looks to be a bad plunger switch. (Continuity test with switch out, See pics) Does anyone one of the make\model to replace this? Appreciate all the help!

I think the part# you need is 925-3191A. That is the switch plunger for your model tractor. Ebay has that switch for $21.99.:beerchug:

Anyone happen to know whats ports will have 12v. on the harness for this switch at Key-on? Switch should be here late Friday or early Sat. getting excited!

In the run position terminals 30&AC should have 12v. In the start position 30,50,17&AC will have 12v. In the glow plug preheat position 30,19&AC will have 12v.
30=Red
AC=Red with white tracer
50=Red with Black tracer
17=Orange
19=Yellow

Well, I tried these 2 switches new. None worked. Dash lights up saying press left foot pedal.. plunger on switch is pressed in.. Funny thing is i was able to jump the harness legs and it starts right up with the key..

Here is a schematic diagram of the 1782 Start Circuit. The diagram is color correct and in the proper sequence. Hope this helps with diagnosing your problem.

Thank you. I was able to jump switch and everything works. Bought 2. Plunger switches. Not buying anymore..
