38c deck belt.
 

Could someone please tell me what belt I need for the spindles on a 38c mower deck? I ordered a cub belt but I think it was too short. It was extremely tight and after mowing 3 times it broke. I don't have a problem paying for the right belt but I do get angry paying that much for a belt that won't last.

Which belt did you order?
IH-473468-R2 or 754-3002 or 954-3002?

I ordered 473 468 r2. That was the part number I found from cubcadet.com.

That is correct. However, a NAPA belt (or similar) that is 1/2" x 72" [A70] would work. There is no twisting like the Mule Drive Belt. Less demanding.

That's what I thought. Thank you for confirming that. Maybe the belt I got had a defect. I bought a gates belt from napa and everything seems to be happy now.
