Trans oil 1210
 

I changed the trans oil and filter on the 1210 today. Took forever to fill it back up through the opening under the seat by the battery where the dipstick is. After making a mess, I found an easy pour spout for my oil container. My question, is there an easier way to fill the trans than what I did, is there a second location on the tractor that is for filling it with trans oil? Or am I just destined to have a mess on my hands every 100 hrs I put on the tractor?

If you have a plug on the rear cover, get a flexible funnel and leave the dipstick out. When it starts coming back out of the hole put the plug back in quick. It'll be full. Otherwise take one of the relief valves out. Just make sure you blow everything off good so you don't get ANY dirt in there.
