Hanging brake.

Don't tell the wife, but I have completely fallen in love with my 1210 Cub. It mows and rides like a dream. As I have been using it to mow and to haul brush and whatnot around the property, I have noticed that the what I believe is the left brake has been hanging up and making a dragging sound. I know that there are some nuts and bolts that can adjusted to put more pressure on the pads and rotor, but I am unsure of what ones to start with. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The "hanging brake" is most likely caused by a dry & rusted Pivot Arm on the Brake Caliper. Some penetrating oil (ie: PB Blaster) applied, and work it back & forth, should free that up.

Congrats on the 1210. Those 82 series are the most comfortable ride. Mike:beerchug:

It is awesome. I keep finding myself making excuses to get out and use it. I am trying to talk the wife into letting me buy a second cub of some sort for snow removal and garden tilling. any suggestions?

Download the service manual, it tells how to adjust the brakes
