Hello all:

Joining the forum to learn more about Cub Cadets! I was fortunate enough to grow up around antique tractors as that has been my fathers hobby for years. His first full restoration was a 1950 Farmall M (besides a few green and orange tractors as well)!

In any event he amassed quit a collection of Cub Cadets and gifted a 72 to my son for his 8th birthday which was really exciting.....perhaps more for me?!?

We’ll tinker with the 72 around our house (yard maintenance) and keep its original condition look for now (looks great!). It has a rebuilt K161 so we’re good in that department.

We found it out it was originally purchased from a now defunct IH dealer in New Hope, PA and it was built in June of 1968. Very cool stuff!

In other news, I’m looking to snag another of my fathers Cub Cadets to rebuild into a designated snow plowing tractor: 147!!
