I picked this one up today at a local antique store a Cub cadet 86. This is the first one I got that has the correct muffler. It came with a 38" deck, front blade, wheel weights, and some rusty IH hubcabs. anyhow pics or it don't happen.

Very nice! It was built in Sept 1973 and it has the PTO brake assembly too. The serial number is still on the transaxle not on the frame.:bigthink:

Cool! You got some goodies! How does it run?

Good score on the 86, and goodies, Riley!

Nice find!

Thank you everyone for the comments. This 86 probably needs the carb cleaned and maybe a fuel line it starts with a jump box ( iffy battery) and runs for a little bit then tries to die it doesn't idle real good. Overall though I'm happy with it.
I would however if possible switch the front PTO over to the older style without the brake. Anybody done this before or should I leave it that way. What little I tried it the PTO would not engage. |
