54" RAD Snow Blower for 1872 etc.
The RAD is a Canadian built unit. This one is 54 inches wide, 2 stage, and first used on a Zero turn mower. It was modified to be used on an 1872 (1872 not included). Complete with one lever release undercarriage ready to work. 12 volt motorized chute control. I'm not sure what, how much, I might ask for it.
Questions? What is it worth ? |
54" Rad 2 stage blower update/info

A good time to get ready for snow - so - some background info and hopefully pictures.
Apr 11, 2015 I had my 1872 ready for plowing or blowing the snow this past Winter. I had fun plowing with hydraulic lift and angle, so much so, that I plowed the snow from a major portion of my lawn for kicks. The heavier blade did some scalping making for added work cleaning up the mess. The lighter Sears dozer blade I've used in the past tended to only skim the grass - seldom taking a divot. The tractor was outfitted with chains & turf tires, wheel weights plus a weight tray in the rear. In hind sight I might have put the RAD blower to work clearing a 7" snow we had - biggest single snowfall of the Winter. BUT I didn't so the test will come next Winter, maybe. After building the undercarriage mount for it my friend tried it out on his 1872 with only 2.5 to 3" snow so I know it works but that wasn't the horsepower test I was hoping to give it. The mount is in two parts to make it easier for me to store and install it. Final attachment is with the drive-in quick hitch. Attachments • Cub 1872 wheel and tray weights • RAD 54 undercarriage • RAD Blower • RAD Blower |
With all the snow some folks have been faced with this Winter does nobody have an idea what this 54" wide snow mover would be worth?

Using the SWAG method, I would think $300-500.
 |
Find out what a new one sells for and go from there accordingly.
