Cylinder on my Haban 54" dozer blade

Just installed my 54" Haban dozer blade on my 982. Lift works fine on it, but the angle hydraulic is not working. I checked my ports at the front and both are getting fluid and I unlocked the cylinder from the blade and the blade actuates by hand to full motion. So, I suspect it is the cylinder on the front. Anyone have any remedies on this one? I thought I would disconnect the lines on the front and from the cylinder and bleed it out by trying to actuate the cylinder with no hoses connected. Is this a good idea or a bad idea? Thanks in advance for your advice!

If you are getting flow and pressure at the ram then the seal on the piston inside the ram is probably toast and it's allowing fluid to bypass. One of our members is selling new replacement rams. Look in the for sale section.

Did you try - moving the hydraulic lever full angle left and hold 15 seconds or so then full angle right and hold? Repeat as necessary until air is expelled from cylinder and connecting lines.

That's all I got.

CC 123, did you get your blade angling cylinder working?

I bought a Haban 54" blade w/power angle last week. Very little wear showing only missing the lift tube. It has been sitting unused for some time and I wonder if the angle cylinder will be okay on it. I have a 54" plow on my 1872 plow tractor now and not looking to switch the blades but I could remove the cylinder from this new purchase and plug it into the remotes for a test.
