Trunion Spring Plate shims?
 

I need to shim the damper spring plate on my 1250 and am wondering where any of you that have done this have found the shim washers? I also noticed that I need to shim the Control cam pivot assembly as it has a lot of slop also.

I have my new trunion springs and guides in, the plates are all cleaned up of rust and painted and the worn spring opening welded up and like new again. The shims are all I like to having this part of my tractor finished up.

Since I have to do this to nearly every tractor I buy, I bought packages of 5 thou and 10 thou shims from mcmaster-carr (www.mcmaster.com). Search for round shims.

Thanks Matt, probably would be best to go ahead and buy a bunch, I may end up fixing a few of these later on down the road.

OK I found this little item to be the cause of all the slop in the cam assembly control. Didn't know that lil thing was in there. Will have to get that ordered when I order the drive shaft bushings for the front and rear.
