Crazy weather
 

Been really warm here this winter. Saw trees and buttercups blooming a couple weeks ago--that's WAY ahead of schedule. I have seen three different instances of folks mowing grass this week--and I mean mowing grass, not clipping onions or grinding up stray leaves left from the fall . Heck I had plans to mow my dad's grass this week, but other things intervened.

NOW, we have snow in the forecast. Its only 1-3" but considering the grass mowing 2 days ago, this is nuts. Then its going to drop to 19 Friday night. Won't surprise me a bit to have to turn on the AC by early April. And, it hasn't really stopped raining since Thanksgiving.

Anybody else's weather this nutty?

PS, in true Southern fashion, the new crews are already at the airport talking flight delays, and the snow is 24 hours away.:BlahBlah::BlahBlah:

We have had drought , flooding rains , cyclonic winds the full gambit of weather no snow but , if it snows where I live it will be amazing
I have seen it all before and if I live long enough will see it again much to the chagrin of the greenies

We've not really had any measureable snow here in south central PA. We had a couple inches once but that's it. I have not used my blower yet. I think we're going to get a good kick in the teeth with a snow storm in March when it should be warmer. :bash2:

Not much of a winter here in NEPA. We had 4 plowable snows, each about 4-5” and either started or ended as rain. If all of the rain we got was snow, we would be trading in the snowplows for loaders. Temperatures have been up and down. 40’s-50’s for a few days, even hit 60 a few times, 20’s-30’s next few days and repeat. I’m thinking (hoping) we may get 1 or 2 more decent storms in March.

It's been pretty mild here in NW Indiana. Above freezing most of the time. The two times I pushed snow could have been left to melt. But I needed some seat time.

Been a mild winter here also, the ground is not froze in
most places and where it is, it's only 2" at best.
Lack of snow is welcome, I don't like winter like I did 60-70 years ago.
Lake Erie Near Toledo they say is not frozen and there is erosion of
shoreline with the record water levels.
A few years ago they were complaining of low water and their boats were sitting in mud at the docks.
Be careful what you wish for, I always say.
Everybody complains about the weather but nobody does anything about it.

Here in Mid Michigan, it has been a "mild winter". I have seen this before and I don't pay attention to the Climate Change Weenies. The bright side, it is costing less to heat your home this winter.

I think the Spring Season will come early this year, and that is OK with me.

In the Big Sky state we have not had but about 6 days below 0 this winter.
normally about 40 of em bless us by now. If this is climate change, I LOVE
IT, bring it on.

I like that bright side. Last year it was brutally cold here (for this area) and I had almost $400/month electric bills. We have all electric baseboard heat, and drafty windows. Not a good combination. This year has not been bad at all in that department.
