New in Nashville...and it's raining. :(

Son and I just picked up a 290 hour 2003 John Deere GX335 and and unexpectedly an 850 hour 1988 Cub Cadet 1811 from a seller this weekend. I really have no idea what the 1811 is yet but I think it will help me smooth my extremely bumpy 1 acre yard out this year. Both came with all manuals and the 1811 even had the original receipt ($4400 with a 38" deck and 3 point hitch). They've basically been stored and used a little yearly since the original buyer passed 15 years ago.

I'm (and especially wife) are so darn tired of trying to keep my little Craftsman hand me down mowers running :bash2: that I just can't wait until it stops raining to just drive these around the yard or maybe over to the liquor store. George Jones used to live just south of us, times have changed though. :D

The 1811 is in very good shape but does need some clean up and I'm going to do fluids and filters and stuff. The seller has a farm and several BIG tractors and hadn't even started getting it ready to sell yet. It started just fine the other day with a mix of nobody knew how old gas with a little new gas thrown in.

Anyway, I'm as excited as a kid waiting for Christmas. :) (Dear Santa, all I want now is a decent rear tiller.)

Welcome to OCC.... :Welcome2:

The 1811 is a popular model, and a good sound tractor.
