I'm Old and so is my 102, But we're new here!

Hello I'm a new member and I just purchased a 102 or 122? Cant tell Yet. Getting ready to retire In Madison co N.C. Saw a cub advertised in Tennessee went and bought it. It came with a 42 inch mower deck a turning plow and a front blade. I'm happy with it it is ugly and needs a lot of work Its just what I was looking for. I have been working on the electrical system it is running pretty good It has a 12 hp kohler motor. It has dual wheels on both sides. But only the right tires spin? Cant figure out how to post a picture yet.

Glad to be here,

Bill Aylor

Welcome to OCC.......... :Welcome2:

If your Cub has a 12 HP engine, then it's a 122.

Welcome to OCC! Love to see some pics when you figure it out.. Here to help with pic adding if you need.

Is the 12 HP yellow? If it is chances are its original engine which could narrow it down to a 122

Thanks for the welcome guys. It has a homemade three point hitch on the back so I cant see the numbers. Ill try again to upload some pictures. When I click the icon " insert image " it asks me for a URL? I want to upload a pic from my computer. I tried using the attachment icon but i still get an error. maybe my picture file size is too large? I put a turning plow on it and tried to turn a few rows. what a hoot!! loose steering box, loose drag link, worn wheel bearings, and 6 inches of sideways movement on the plow blade because of a homemade three point hitch it was quite an interesting ride on a mountain grade for a first timer. It sure beats a shovel. my main problem now is only the right tires are spinning in forward and reverse, I've never seen the left tires spin ( duals on rear ). I cant wait till I can include some pictures for ya'll. I mean youins they use youins instead of ya"ll up here in the mountains.

Thanks again for making a new member feel welcome,

Bill
