High performance Air Filter Upgrade?
 

I have a new ZT1 54 Cub Cadet. It came with a Kohler 24 hp KT735.

This Kohler motor has the short, low profile air filter...

In the Kohler booklet I noticed there is a High Performance version of this motor that has a taller air filter.

Does anyone know if the High Performance air filter "cover" will fit/fasten to my existing motor, shorter air filter cover?

If so my plan is to Upgrade the Cover and go with the taller air filter!

Cannot help with your air filter question but let you know that the Pro series Kohlers also came with a high performance spark plug (platinum) , oil filter (larger capacity) and fuel filter
The photos of both standard and Pro engines (Horizontal) show the same air filter cover if that is any consolation

Probably just a foam wrap for the existing filter??

I'm also considering placing course foam filter material in the 2 Inlet Holes on the lower filter housing piece...

I received the Air Filter Cover yesterday from Amazon and it's a perfect fit to the existing Top plastic Shroud!

So I've now got a Pro Filter set-up! Twice the air intake and filtration!
Nothing wrong with more filtered air.

I'm now considering a course foam material to insert into the 2 intake holes on the bottom filter housing. And maybe introduce a couple of new holes in the new top cover for more air intake and of course place foam filtration to those...
