Ignition switch
bought a 1641 2weeks ago ignition switch keeps going out.no dash lights replaced switch and that went three days later what can i check to see why
|
OK, can you clarify your posting in plain English. It is hard to understand what you want. !!!
:bigthink: |
i need to know why the ingintion switch burns out after a few days
|
1. Its wired wrong.
2. Wrong switch 3. Short in wiring 4. High amperage draw Those are the only 4 things i can think of that would burn that switch up. There is no one specific answer to your question because you have not given enough information. Your going to need a wiring diagram and a meter. Then we can help you diagnose it. |
The correct Ignition Switch for the 1641 is: 925-3163

It would also be helpful that you explain "burned up"
---Did you take it apart and see melted contacts inside? --- Was it hot and smoking? ---Were the terminals melted off on the outside? ----or did it just quit working. I think you see where we are coming from. In order to help we need facts and history or pictures in some instances. Calling the doctor and saying I'm not feeling good is not going to get much results, but if you added, yesterday I fell out of a pee cup truck on the highway we would get a better idea of your problem.:bigthink: |
switch just quit working was running fine.i was mowing and then machine just quit running like some thing shut power off at switch

Sounds like it just plum quit.
It could be out of gas, or engine done blowed up bat tree could of come unconnected wire could of come off something fuse could of blowed. some silly safety switch could of malfunctioned could have ignition system problems fuel flow could of stopped to engine. could of run over a brick or neighbors bowling ball Time to determine which system stopped it. Electrical? fuel? Air? Mechanical? If you don't understand simple diagnostics, you might consider taking it to a repair facility. I can't remember where I last put my tell all Crystal ball, so I can't do tela-pathetic mechanic, like them sitty doctors are now doing because of the china virus |
