I used a Cub 149 back on the farm 50 years ago.
I was recently gifted a Cub 100 with creeper and tiller, and a Cub 108 with mower deck. Neither have been operable for over 10 years. Both stored in a heated garage. Have now got the 108 running and will need to go through nearly the entire machine and check bearings. The 100 appears to be a lot more work as it is difficult to turn over, the front end is really sloppy, etc. I'm hoping to get her going and shop fab a front end loader. Initially I'll be lurking through old threads here looking for clues to making this happen. I'm a machinist who can also put down some decent welds. However, that doesn't make me a mechanic. Thanks for this forum. Daryl MN |

Welcome Daryl. If you plan to add a loader to your 100, you’ll want to beef up the wheels and spindles to trailer hubs. I did that on my 100 even though I have no plans for a loader.
