PTO Help

I'm new to the forum and trying to solve a similar PTO issue on a 104.
I bought a kit and rebuild the PTO and replaced both the bearing and the collar. When I first reinstalled it the mower deck wouldn't disengage and it started smoking at the PTO. I re-removed it and found that the back of the tri-footed spring was worn from contacting the end of the crank shaft I think. I loosened and reset the springs and it seems better but still the mower deck turns. When I try to tighten the linkage the button appears to be maxed out and now the tri-foot spring is keeping it from pushing in any further. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Hello and Welcome.

I moved your post as to not jump on someone else thread.

Did you use the proper adjustment tool when rebuilding the PTO?
