107 - longshot question
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't been on in awhile, but the 1440 is still humming along. During some social distanced downtime last month, I came across the invoice for when my Grandfather traded in his 107 for the 1440 in 1996. Of course the fever began to build and I decided I could use a new project....:biggrin2: On a whim, I called the dealer to see if he knew where the 107 went - he was able to provide a serial # (U367396) and reached out to the gentleman who bought it. He apparently had it for several years (not sure if that means 5 years or 15...), and sold it at Penn's Cave (Nittany Antique Machinery Association), but that's where the trail ends. Not sure if this is the right place to post - forgive me if it isn't, but I thought I'd toss it out here to see if on a longshot someone from this forum may have picked it up, since people were obviously collecting them by then. Hopefully it's not a pile of parts or wasn't recycled into a new XT-series, but it is a longshot, I'm sure. Not giving up yet, but thought I'd put some feelers out before just jumping on another 107 when one came up. Thanks for reading, Dan Everyone loves pictures, right? Tried to scour for old pictures, this is all I could find - doing snow duty in the mid 1990s - "picture of a picture"; remember film cameras? :D |
I wish you luck in finding it.. OCC was a smart choice to start your seach. LOTS OF MEMBERS HERE! Welcome!

Thanks Coop! I figured this was a good place to check in with. Seems I've read far more over the years than I've posted, so I guess I'm still a newbie "on paper" :biggrin2:
