44A deck pulley

On my 1250 it has a 44A deck. How do I know if I have the "speed up" pulley? I think it measures 4" in diameter on the smaller speed up one. How do you measure one of these? Is it the outer most dimension?
By the way, I would like to post pics of my 1250. I took some from my cell-can they be posted that way?
Thanks, Mark

I put one of these on my 44A deck on my 1976 1450 earlier this summer. The original pulley measured 5" across and the speed up I put on measures 4".

Are the top and bottom pulley the same size in diameter? When I measure the top pulley on my 44A deck it measures close to 4 inches. Maybe someone already put this on my deck:bigthink:

Thanks,Mark

on a 1250 with the electric PTO I'm thinking that is the pulley it is supposed to have, To compensate for the larger PTO pulley.
Nothing is sped up, unless you were to run that pulley on a tractor with the smaller manual PTO.

Ahh- that makes it more clear! I guess that is the best it gets.

Thanks, Mark

I just put a brand new speed pulley on my 44 deck for my 1250. It isn't fast by any means but it does throw the clippings much better than the 42 deck on my 128. And definitely cuts a 100% better.

Do you happen to know the part number of the pulley you put on your 44 deck? I think I already have the speed pulley because I have an electric PTO. CMA 129 seems to think the electric PTO's got hat pulley compared to the manual pulley decks.

IH 126393-C1 44A decks with serial number 81742 and above. (Small pulley)

Was under $40 at my local dealer.
