Have a question why the stub shaft that comes out of the transmission is getting egg shaped? Thanks.

The coupling that fits on it is worn allowing it to wallow the mating input shaft, if that is your question.
I have no idea what you have attached to the shaft coming out of the transmission unless it is a rear PTO.
In that case, I would say it has been used a lot.
pictures would help and a little more info.
If it is indeed a diesel engine they are known to pound out the coupling due to the fact it is a diesel, and just the nature of the beast.:bigthink:

Yep, George is correct. The input shaft gets hammered pretty hard and will wear the shaft if not kept tight. Pretty much every diesel I have had to have the complete driveline replaced. You need to contact Jeff (Parts by Jeff) up in the banner and he can hook you up with the correct parts. The best system is to convert it over to the CV style but it also hurts the wallet doing so. I stick with the original style rag joint system because I don't put that many hours on mine.
