Looking for tiller advice
 

I have a new to me LT1024 and an HDS 2185 and I am looking to do some garden tilling with one or both.

In my searching I have heard that I may not be able, or rather ill advised, to use any ground engaging implements with either of these tractors as they are not rated for ground engagement. Any truth to this or is this just an abundance of caution?

If I can use a tiller, has anyone fabricobbled a way to put a JD tiller on a CC (I know, blasphemy!! :D ) I can't seem to find any CC tillers in my area (southern WI).

NO tiller options were offered on the LT1024. The 2185 had this, Rear Tiller 190-304-100. Might be a tad hard to find.

LT= Lawn tractor,
and not intended for ground engaging equipment.
They are a lawnmower or for pulling a leaf/ flower bed cart, or small weed sprayer.:beerchug:

Ok, so no tillers on the 1024. Mower, bagger and I believe it had a snow blower option as well.

The 2185 on the other hand did have a tiller option available so that's the only tractor I get to think about putting a tiller on.

Well, I don't know how the engineering works to determine if you can pull a tiller or not so I will let the experts chime in, but what about pulling a tiller with it's own motor, like a Craftsman?
