149 3 point lift ???

3 Attachment(s)
I 've ordered or had all the parts to put a 3 point lift on the 149 I just got so I can use it for tilling. I have read Wild Bills "tilling 101" 3 times and figured I would start mounting the lift parts. It was all of 10 seconds before I hit the first road block so I need some experts to advise me.

On my 108 & 129 there is a collar attached to the inside of the frame on both sides. The lift casting fits inbetween them and the pin slides thru the whole assembly. Piece of Cake!! When I go to the 149 it is missing those collars and the holes are the size of a quater while the mounting pin is the size of a dime. Soooo, is this a factory screw up or just a different breed and I need some kind of bracket that I'm missing.

I could be wrong, but doesn't the 149 use the weird ( Frankenstein , I think ) bolts to mount the rear lift ?

jbollis 08-13-2010 09:17 PM

Nope I was wrong. Parts tree shows the bosses on the rear of the frame. Don't know why yours aren't there. I wonder if those weird bolts would work though

jbollis ..... Thanks for the input, I had done the same search myself right after I had posted.

You simply need the Frankenstein bolts. It's not a factory goof on your frame.

Here is a set on Ebay..

A guy could make them pretty easily. It is just a bolt with the threads ground down. I would not pay that price for them.

That was fast........ Identified the problem ......... Located the parts .......... Probably bought them for me too. OK OK just pushing my luck. But thank you for clearing it all up for me.:beerchug:

You were right from the git go....... thats parts tree diagram had us both screwed up, it shows those collars big as life ...... but thanks for your effort.:beerchug:

Yanno, I just happen to have a set setting on my work bench :)

Both of my wide frames have the collars. When I bought my 3 point the 1200 had those bolts so I took them thinking I might need them. I could probably be talked out of them :bigthink:

When you showed me that set on Ebay I did a quick search and saw they were the only ones listed so I bought them on the spot:bash2: You probably didn't hear my scream when I came back and read your last post ...... but trust me it was there!! Thank You again:beerchug:
