Plow Blade Identification?

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all, I bought this plow blade last year for $60.00 and just can't remember what the guy told me it came off of.
I thought the plow blades had the numbers stamped on them, but I can't find any stamped number or tag anywhere on it?
My memory is going fast these days, but I do think he said it had come off an 186X I want to say an 1862, 3 or 4,
but how can/do you tell when there's nothing to go buy. :bigthink:

I find a lot of mower decks with no tags as well?

Thanks much for any help. :beerchug:
EDIT: This isn't a what does this fit? I'm asking short of me finding a lets just say a 1863
and trying to mount it on the tractor, is there a way to tell what you have short of guessing? Thanks again.

Looks like a 42" blade and it will fit a 1863.

At $60, I would say a good buy if the edge is not worn away or plow perforated by rust. Looks just like what I use on my 1863 and 1864. If you want to drive to Reading, You may compare to my plow.

I agree, it "appears" to be WF Dozer Blade. Can't say for sure without a "side shot" of the Sub Frame. You can take a Tape Measure and measure across the front of the blade to determine size (ie: 42" or 54").

:bigthink:

That will fit your tractor, But it looks like it is for an 82 series. Didja get the lift rod and the bracket that attaches to the rock shaft?
Picture of correct 1863 bracket.

Not rusted very much at all. Bottom edge minimal wear.

It's a 42" blade. Roland, Do you know if these were stamped
or tagged with the model numbers. Eyes terrible, def no tag but
no stamp either from what I can tell.

Yes got the lift rod with it, but no bracket for the rock shaft. Here's a few more pics.
Thanks to all for the help. :beerchug:

my plow tractor so appreciate all the help with this.
My memory is not so good.. Need too remember to write stuff
down when I get them, but remembering too write stuff down is a
problem with me as well. :Forgot:

There were NO Model Tags for these Dozer Blades.

The 42" blade is pretty much universal throughout this attachment. The difference comes into the "sub-frame" mounting to the tractor. Here is the Attachment Guide for the 1863.

190-377-100 <821,100 Tractor Serial Number
190-316-100 821,101> Tractor Serial Number

The 190-377-100 was used from the 1x8/9 series through the 1989 tractors.

Thanks for the pics, That will fit, too bad about the bracket as they sell for more than the price you paid for the blade.

Thanks much for all the info. Yeah, I figured the bracket
would not be cheap, just like the one for the
450, 451, 551 blowers for on the supers. I did find
one of those on CL for $20.00 so maybe I can get lucky again.
Lew, Thanks for the pics. That was going to be my next question
if anybody had the number for the bracket. One last question.
If I don't get the 1863, how hard/what would I have to do,
buy, or make to mount this on a QL or if this blade will work on a QL?
I'm guessing the sub/under frame would be different and?
Thanks again for all the help.
I really appreciate it. :beerchug:

It will work but the lift rod may not work, and the sub frame will be closer to the ground.
