Crazy electrical question 1810
 

Hello, today I purchased a very nice clean Cub Cadet 1810. The previous owner stated it had an electrical problem, and the shop he took it to diagnosed it as a bad coil on the Kohler M18. So I purchased it with that in mind. To make this long story short, it did not have spark. But I hooked up the wiring harness in the picture, that had been long disconnected. Still nothing, then I pulled out the fuse and holder in the dash, and it started right up!

It runs perfect, but without this fuse. So what the heck?

Sounds to me like the shop did not spend very much time on it.

If you like, I can send you an 1810 wiring diagram so you can go through the wiring.

The 1810 has two different Wiring Diagrams, depending on serial number range. What is your chassis serial number ??
