Running rough, popping back thru the carb. Pulled the valve covers and noticed that The exhaust valve on the right bank had lost half of the keeper, it was laying in the head, put it back on. Then noticed the exhaust valve was barely moving. therefore I assumed the exhaust was going back thru the intake valve and popping thru the carb. Therefore can I assume that the exhaust lobe on the cam is wiped out? Anyone with any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Is the spring broke for that valve?

No broken spring. Told the owner to put a new cam in, had to replace the crank too. He said to put a new engine in. $2100 later new engine on the way.
