TractorData has inaccurate weights

http://www.tractordata.com/lawn-trac...imensions.html
this is the J0hn D33re La140 lawn tractor's weight- 524 pounds
https://www.tractordata.com/lawn-tra...imensions.html
this is the Cub Cadet 800 garden tractor's weight- 585 pounds

Please don't tell me that an IH Cub Cadet weighs only 61 pounds more than a Lowes big box lawn mower...

Prolly does, no mower deck on it.

That's why you wanna get the narrow frames.... My 125 weighs 650 lbs according to tractor data :biggrin2:

740 for the 147...

Radioguy41 05-29-2021 09:04 AM

The 782 is listed at 680 lbs (full fuel tank).

Spec sheet does not show 800 weight but 1000 is 745.
Only difference is the engine (K181 vs. K241)

Thanks for the info everyone. I still don't believe a quality garden tractor weighs just a bit more than a lawn mower from Lowes. As far as the narrow frames go, they would be lighter because of the smaller frame. I still believe in heavy duty garden tractors that are around 800-900 pounds. I don't think IH made "light duty" stuff. I can't even believe that an 800 would weigh 580 pounds... Most likely 780 pounds.

Also the 782 couldn't possibly be 680 pounds. That is like the peak of Cub Cadet tractors, it would be more like 850-875 pounds. This thread backs my facts up, https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...ead.php?t=1366 so the 782 is like a 1050 pounds tractor with a deck on it. That makes me actually feel proud of my machinery, not sigh and think that it is a light duty Lowes lawn mower.

One more thing, is "shipping weight" more or less than actual operating weight? Does shipping weight mean the tractor with no engine?

Once again, from IH Spec sheets.....
Shipping weight = no attachments, no battery, no fluids!
