Hello fellow Cub Cadet aficionados.

I’m Al from Sylvania Ohio, I have 5 Cubs all needing something.
106 that just ticks when I turn the key, new battery. The

127 was told it had charging problem, the generator is off of it right now. Another 127 my brother drove into a pond 26 years ago, my dad drained everything and has been in the barn since, planning on doing full resto on that.

A 1250 that runs but the PTO doesn’t engage, looks like it was changed so it may not be gapped right.

And a 1450 that sat outside and needs gone through as rust has frozen some spots.

I have always loved the Cubs, the 127 was the only one growing up we had and for 3 acres was the best mower. Dad bought it new and kept it up until the pond incident and planned on going through it when he retired. Unfortunately time wasn’t on his side that’s why I want to build it back up the way he had it. Last week came across a sweet deal for the 106, 127, and 1250 so now my garage is full of projects. Got the manuals for all of them but if anyone might have tips I’m all ears here.

On the 106 I got it to turn for a little but now only the solenoid clicks any help where I should look first, it is a new battery

All Electrical connections, grounds, battery terminals, starter switch and solenoid NEED to be bright and tight, including SG to mount to engine block.
