2182 belts
 

I have a 2182 S#804876 with a 50c deck S#365570. I want to get new belts before I need them. I believe the deck belt is part #754-3005 or 954-005. I cannot for the life of me find the pto belt. Can anyone help with that?

Also, reverse is like a turtle, and sometimes non-existent if I have to back up a slope. Is there an adjustment for this?

The PTO Belt is : 954-3006, Belt, Mule Drive (982 only).

As for the slow reverse, I would suspect the Relief Valve(s). The Reverse is the RH Valve. Pull it out and check to see if there is "gunk" in it or worn "O" rings.

You could also swap valves around to see if the problem followed the swap.

I tried the relief valves. It looked fine, but I swapped them anyway. The problem persists. It's not that big of a deal. I don't spend much time in reverse, I just have to keep the problem in mind and not get myself into a situation where I have to back up a slope. I've had the mower for over a year and haven't been stuck yet.

The purpose of swapping the valves around was to see if the problem went to be a "slow" forward. I am assuming not so. Then your problem would have to be in the linkage.

I think you are right about the linkage. I found two service bulletins on this site from 2016 about fixing a slow reverse. Gonna go try them out now.
