108 drive plate question

I'm not sure if I should use lock washers with 1/4" 20 5/8" bolts to attached the drive plate to the drive cup on my cub 108? I can't find anything clear cut in the WF manual to suggest yes or no. Also, I intend to just snug the lightly oiled bolts hand tight (6 or 7 ft-lb). Would that be correct? Guidance would be appreciated.

According to the parts look up it uses lock washers. Looked at my 122 and it has lock washers
