1450 engine same as 147?
 

Was wondering if the engine from a 147 or 149 would fit into my 1450?
And if so what modifications might I need to make to accommodate the switch.

Was thinking about rebuilding the 1450 but wanted a spare and/or parts engine just in case.

1. The 1450 is equipped with electric PTO. The motor from 147/149 would likely not have the bolt holes for mounting electric PTO.

2. The motor from 147/149 uses starter/generator for starting and external voltage regulator.
1450 has built in starter and alternator with solid-state voltage regulator
The whole electical sysem and wiring is different.
