Weber Grill Side table
1 Attachment(s)
I was suppose to be putting new seals in my 2185 last weekend, but ended up making this instead. Just got so sick of finding a table when grilling. So I made one. The wood is two shipping pallets from the feed store down the road. That probably saved over a hundred dollars with current lumber prices. New box of screws and bottle of exterior water proof wood glue. And about 10 hours from Friday evening till Sunday afternoon. Just waiting for a little more glue to dry and I can add some deck sealer.

Pretty cool, it looks like the grill is removable? I can see the one leg fits into a hole on the bottom of the table. Although I don’t think I’d ever be cooking a Pugh on the grill to warrant that big of a table lol

Good idea, but grill looks too close to the wood table.
-----might just be the camera angle. :bigthink: |

The only change to the grill was to remove the plastic handle from the side. I clamped to the existing handle and then I used the cross member on the bottom. I bored a hole in it to fit the leg through. Then added the vertical brace above. The grill was not harmed in any way and can be easily removed and replaced if desired. The lower cross member was clamped to the lower tray in two locations. It functions like two 3 leg tables bolted together. I can lift up one end and roll around as needed.
The table top is clearanced about 1.5 inches from the grill. I used it tonight without any issues. |
Somehow I predict there will be a more serious pallet shortage than anticiptated:biggrin2:
Good idea for a repurpose pallet. I have a friend who just built a ground level deck out of pallets. |
Your invitations for an on-site trial must have gone astray

Got it disassembled and stained. I"ll let it sit for a few days and look for any spots that need another coat.
