Hello from Michigan!
Hi all.
I have a CC1641 that we bought new, and the tractor has run like a champ, though the 46” deck is just about shot. It has rusted through and has had welded patches more times than I can count and the blade shafts are in about the same shape. I’d rather not buy a new tractor & deck, but it appears to be impossible to find a direct replacement for this deck.:beatdeadhorse: Does anyone know of an easy to find 46” - 52” deck that can be made to fit this model Cub Cadet? My health has headed south on me and I can’t do much outside anymore beyond sitting on the tractor to mow. Or, should I suck it up and buy a new rig? Thanks Jim |
It will probably be difficult to find a good deck without having it shipped and even than you don't know how good it really is.
Those decks require removal a few times per year for cleaning to prevent rot. Not an easy task for someone with health problems. You could buy new but unless you spend big bucks it may end up being junk with never-ending problems. Hiring someone for lawn care might be your best option. |
Thanks
Yes, I already have assumed that if I buy new I’ll have to spend if I want it to last. That being said, I’m not too sure of the MTD tractors, Cadet or other.
Is that going to get me thrown off OCC? |
Problem is most everything inexpensive, is MTD built.
that leaves Deere, Kubota and the like, and a lot of good stuff just ain't available in these carzy times and If it is, it is pricy. Try some of the salvage places, also at the top of the page or some of the social media guys, Epay, craigs list Etc. Notice I didn't say spaced out bookie thingy Also you can put an add on here, OCC :beerchug: |
I have a good GT46 deck. Probably cost too much to ship from NY to MI. But you can PM me if your interested.

Welcome to OCC............. :Welcome2:
The only thing I can offer is, look at Craigslist or sites similar. |

What condition is it in & do you think it would fit a CC 1641? If so, what would it cost, less shipping? Jim |
