Cub Cadet 1512 starter removal
 

I just bought a new starter for my Kubota diesel. Looked like a pretty easy job. I just spent 2 hours trying to get it out. I'm sure it comes out, but I can't see any way to do it. Looks like they built the motor around the starter. I took out motor mounts and lifted it a couple inches and still cannot get it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check for a procedure for removal and replacement in the FSM?
Might be a good place to start.

Just read it and found out I have to remove the motor. I wondered about that when I was trying to get it out. I was hoping not. I guess that will be a good part of my morning or day tomorrow. If anyone knows any tricks to avoid pulling motor please let me know :bigthink:
