IH snowthrower

Hi
I have a 38" IH snowthrower. Last year the auger showed peeling of the spooling and was going to have it rewelded as well as new foot skags on sides . Now the problem. I cant get the auger out !!! any ideas as I didn't seem to find any threads or repair manuals for the snowthrower. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Murphdogg59

Murph:

I can't find a 38" snowthrower nor recall one. I suspect you have a 36" snowthrower. With that in mind, IH made several models of this size. What model do you have...??

I H Snowthrower

My bad, sorry... its a Q36A snowthrower. Any thing you may have would be helpful as the manual says only the gearbox should ever need service.

Has anyone ever seen a repair manual for the blowers? I can only find an owners manual.

IIRC I think there is only the Owners and parts Manuals for the snowthrowers.

I got my auger out today

I loosened up everything and hit it with PB, couple blows with wood block on auger spindle end caps and then with little prying effort it came right out. This is a cc36 blower, not sure if that makes any difference. The wear edge should be fun bolts to get out!! It needs alot of reworking and some welding and got a good start on it today:beer2:

Here's a website I found that I'm going to use http://www.edecals.com/custom_decal_..._designer.html . You can make your own custom decals, size, font, color, etc. Prices seem reasonable also:biggrin2.gif:
