QA36 chute rotator wanders when throwing snow
QA36 on a 105. The chute rotator and chute wanders during operation sending snow everywhere I don’t want it. Need 3 hands to control it. Pretty sure it’s consequence of wear and age but there must be a way to fix this. Anyone else have this problem ?
Thanks, Steve |
Tighten the chute control. Loosen nut, push gears together, and re-tighten nut. Check for binding. Readjust if necessary.

OK—on my way outside, will report back. Thanks !

Still working on it .

I put an electric window motor on mine, so don't have to mess with that hand crank, and stays put while blowing

Tightened the rotator assembly. Can’t find a sweet spot. It either won’t rotate, or it wanders. Put a 1” shim strip of aluminum dryer vent material between the 2 collars It’s better, but still moves a little. Tried a similar strip of stove pipe, but it was too thick. Thanks, Steve
