Original Tire Availability
1 Attachment(s)
I have a 2284, and at some point, someone replaced one of the front tires with a cheap replacement, some off brand I've never heard of. I'd really like to get an original Cub Cadet brand tire (see photo) for it in the 18x8.5-8 size to put back on it so they match rather than buy a pair of new ones. Yes, I realize I could just put two new ones on it, but I kind of wanted to stick with the originals if I could.
It doesn't look like Cub Cadet makes them anymore. Are there any other options out there for the same tread pattern or am I going to be stuck looking for used one, or ultimately just replacing both of the front tires so they match. |
Following. CC also has branded tires with the "normal" tread prior to these, but I've always had a soft spot for these.
Otherwise the Carlisle turf master seem to be the best that I know to be available. |
Talk/look with these guys, they provide most all my tires on the farm,

Finding a NOS tire will be akin to winning the lottery. Most probable is to run across a used tire, hopefully not all dry rotted..

Id be willing to do a used one if it was in good enough shape. Right now I've only been able to find various sizes of rear tires no fronts. I'm not surprised as they seem to wear a lot faster.

That's what I mean by wearing faster. Turning mainly seems to be wear out the fronts. Most tractors I've ever bought have had original rear tires and replacement fronts on them. |
If you are on F.B. Marketplace, there is a gentleman in Randolph, NY that deals in whole tractors and parting tractors named Jimmy Mack. A few weeks ago, he had a 2084 listed as parting out and it still had the OEM front tires.
