Replacement Electric lift
 

Does anyone know of the correct dimensions for the 147 electric lift? Stroke? Recommended capacity? I’m looking at buying an aftermarket linear actuator to replace my electric lift that has a stripped gear and destroyed motor.

The Electric Lift that Cub Cadet used was made by a company called: Duff-Norton.

Their equivalent is: MPD6405-6

Better be sitting down when you check the prices on those!!

Holy crap! You weren’t joking! Alright well that is totally out of the question. Can’t justify 4x what I payed for the tractor just to lift implements. What are my alternative options? Is it possible to rebuild my electric lift? Or are there any out there for sale that beat the price of a rebuild?

Options:

* Armstrong lift
* Rebuild your Elec Lift
* Look for a good used one.

Is the Armstrong lift the manual lift from tractors like the 1204?
Would a manual lift from a 76 or other NF work?

Almost any NF but be sure you get all the pieces.
Will be pretty bulky re. ex$pensive to ship though because of the long handle unless you cut it off.

A 4-inch actuator from Johnny Products will work I used a 600LB force actuator from here https://www.johnnyproducts.com/JP_Pa...s-hardware.htm Top actuator in the List is what I used. Don't Know if The actuator will work with the 147 actuator Bracket or Not

I also had to Buy a reproduction end(circled In red) for the Hydraulic Cylinder and a 7/16fine thread Bolt(I think that was the size Been 6 years since I did this) Plus Had someone Fabricate a U-Bracket to pin onto the end of the actuator circled In gray

My Plan is to purchase an Electric over Hydraulic Lift actuator(4-inch) from either https://ph.parker.com/us/en/compact-...aulic-actuator or https://www.thomsonlinear.com/en/pro...uators/h-track , so I can have Hydraulic lift and even a Much faster speed than the Thompson actuator I Purchased. But the Thompson is Much faster than the Original Duff-Norton actuator. So the Duff-Norton Can be replaced with a Modern actuator

The Issue is the actuator bracket on the 147 Might have to Cut it off and Use the Other style actuator bracket for the rest of that series of Narrow frame I had a Fab guy Remake the actuator bracket as well, so it could take a smaller Pin to fit the New actuator. But In your case, Maybe Cut off the Pin off the Bracket and drill a New Hole though the Bracket to take a small pin to Hold a Modern actuator

BTW I would get finsruskw Help with some of the Fabrication as he has got the skills
