Plow set-up

Here’s the Brinly copy I have. It’s made by Craftsman and I picked it up for $100 from a friend that has Simplicity garden tractors. He gave me a sleeve hitch off a Simplicity and I fabricated the bracket that goes over the diff cover of my 125 using Google images to accept my sleeve hitch. I downloaded the Brinly manual and it’s a little bit different than my Craftsman. The manual I downloaded is titled Brinly 10” moldboard plow, but doesn’t say where that measurement comes from. Is it across the plow’s widest part (looking down at it), or at the plow’s highest part (looking at the side of it)?

I’ve watched YouTube videos on plow set-up and they always mention height of the left side tires in inches for initial set up. Can I just use a floor jack until the plow is at 90° when viewed from the rear of the plow?

See attached image on plow width.

Raise the LH rear wheel for the depth of the furrow you want to plow (ie: 4", 6", 8" etc) to set up the plow.

That’s a great illustration, I appreciate that. Most gardens are 6” deep so I’ll set it up for that.

Your plow is a Brinly branded as Craftsman. Craftsman never "made" anything. Sears just ordered items with their brand name on them.

How much side to side movement do y’all usually allow the plow to have?
