Wideframe Steering Wheel Puller & Center cap question
 

The 1650 that I have been redoing had a broken steering wheel and was missing the triangle decal filler. I was able to get a newer style off a 782 that has the snap on center cap. The picture & sketch show a tool I made up to pop the old wheel off the shaft. Worked slick.

Question for the crowd. The last picture shows the two wheels. The new wheel center cap doesn't have the IH logo. Did the cap come both ways depending on model or when the tractor was built?

The 782 Wheel Cap did NOT come with the IH Logo.

My 682, 582 and 782 had one.

Puller mod for use on 149
 

I was wondering what to do with the steering wheel off the 1650 and realized it was in much better shape than the one on my 149. To use the puller I had to MacGyver the wood to clear the hydro lever. Still worked good. The 5/8-18 threads on the shaft needed some love as the previous owner must have tried to remove the wheel previously. Used thread file & rethreading die. Final picture shows the 1650 wheel on the 149.
