Joined the forum as I am getting involved with a Cub Cadet 109. This is my first up close and personal with CC tractors. I am a diehard "green" guy and have lots of "green" toys (and big ones too).
A good friend of mine is in a rehab facility and he "convinced" me to look at his 109. It has been sitting inside not being used for over 15 years. It was covered with "stuff" and I am in the process of uncovering the tractor and want to get it running so I can get it to my place. Attachments include mower deck (size?), tiller, and front blade. I have yet to see the attachments. I will start another thread on my 109 adventure and include some pictures. Once it is running I am considering selling the tractor and pursuing the purchase of a 149, 169, or comparable Quiet Series with hydraulic lift. If the tiller and blade are in good condition I will use them with the new "acquisition". BTW, I am one who prefers original units (patina). Restorations are nice but not my style.
On a more personal note, I am a retired mechanical/ag engineer. I was raised on a farm in south central PA. I lived in OK, IL, MD, and OH. I recently returned to the PA home farm where I built a new house. My other interests are farm tractors, muscle cars, Mack trucks, photography, and computers. I hear PA is a good place for CCs but I have not seen many.

Looking forward to learning about Cub Cadets.
