125 exhaust elbow and muffler
When I bought my 125 it was in dire need of TLC. I rebuilt the engine and in the interest of time, I just used a 1” iron pipe and generic round muffler so I could drive it in the parade we had. The muffler that was on it was rusted out and the elbow was broken. My question is this: do I HAVE to use an elbow specifically for a 125 with a K301 engine, or is there another Kohler or IHCC part number that would work? The muffler itself seems easier to obtain than the elbow.

I think it's a special fitting but was used on other models like 102, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 147, 149.
Expensive and I think no longer available from Cub Cadet or Kohler. Some cross reference part numbers might be IH-393621-R1, 393621-R1, KH-235692, 235692, 235692-S, KH-237480, 237480, 237480-S. |
Holy cow you’re right. Lowest price I found online is $141. There’s GOT to be a way to put that 90° bend in a piece of 1” rigid conduit…

I could have swore, that the fitting is your typical 1" NPT.

It is 1” NPT, that’s the pipe I put in mine. I just want the look of the original exhaust.

You can probably buy an extruded stainless extended elbow and just cut the threads off the long end.

Here is one, make an offer, https://www.ebay.com/itm/27504614244...Bk9SR8Di1_a_YQ

Thanks! I’ll reach out to that seller.
