K301 Engine Breather filter
I am in need of a Engine Breather Filter #385-338-R1. If I can't find one what would work in it's place?
Thanks for the help Joe |
A piece of hogs hair filter will work, or some use a scotch bright pad.
I've used both. Also a cheap used furnace filter ( woven fiberglass, not paper) is an option :beerchug: |
I don't know the official term for it but. I have used the scrubby pads
that one uses at the kitchen sink. Anything that will grab oil but still allow it to drain through should work, just be sure it doesn't degrade when soaked with oil. Ken |
R Bedell,
sorry I forget to add that I was asking about a CC 123 Ol'George, The Scotch bright pad is what I had used in the past, but wanted to see if I had missed out on something better. West Valley G, Thanks for your input also. To all of you thanks for taking the time to post you info, and sorry it has taken me this long to get back to you with my thanks. Joe |
KH-235118 or 235118-S is the number I'm getting for that breather filter on that model.
Tons of them on Ebay and the sponsors have them too. The gaskets KH-235048 AND seal KH-231032 will need to be replaced too. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/5UAAA...pZS/s-l500.jpg |

This is what I make them from.
It's a wax stripping pad used with commercial-size floor buffers. |
My thanks to you 1711 cub and Ironman for your help.
