Differences between 782 and 1864 frame
Curious as to what the differences between 782 and 1864 that cause the front of the 782 frame to be raised when installing the 1864 axle to rise 2 inches but not in the 1864 when the same axle is in it?
The frames are identical in regards to the front axle. The 1864 axle is taller and moves the wheels forward compared to the 782. The first Cyclops series used the same axle as the 782. The second generation Cyclops have the new axle.
Are you saying the 1864 axle raises the frame up higher in the 1864 the same way that it does in the 782 frame
Sorry for not being clear. Yes the frame is raised on the 1864 the same as the 782.
The difference in height is do to the front axle. 1864 also has the newer design rock shaft.
Thanks for clearing that up. Whats the advantage of the newer style rock shaft.
It's stronger and easier to remove.
Ok, thanks
