K series replacement engines?
I need a couple engines to replace my worn out ones.
Mine drive off the front, so I'm wondering if anything is available? No one here rebuilds them, and machine shops are to busy. |
Are you looking for a Kohler Replacement or "a replacement" ???
:bigthink: |
A replacement.

I'm thinking you are better off rebuilding what you have. What part of VA are you from? I'm sure there are some shops that could help you out near you.
There were a few guys on here offering rebuild services but I'm not sure they still do. Quick Google search shows this. https://www.kesslersequipment.com/rebuilds/ http://shop.kustomlawnandgarden.com/...ACTURED_c4.htm |
I agree you are better off fixing what you have but getting machine
shops to help, at least around here is not pleasant. I would tread real real cautious with Kustom. I had them build me an engine and they ripped me off for the core I sent back to them. Then ignored my calls and contacts via the web. Pretty sketchy. I hope you find some good help it has become a frustrating part of working on old stuff. Ken |
Good info on them Ken, I know nothing about that company but just did a Google search. I would try and find a local machine shop first. Maybe some fellow Virginians can help the OP out on finding a shop.

I’ll second what Oak said. Rebuild your Kohlers. It’s not as hard as it may seem, I’ve been where you are at right now. With this forum and YouTube, you can do it; we are here to help you!
