Can’t find my deck
I bought my 3240 used in 2003 and they told me it was two years old. The deck on it is 48” shaft drive. I believe it is a 190-289-100 model. When I look this up I find diagrams of it that look exactly like what I have except for the parts I need. I need the rollers on the back. Mine are a hard plastic 3” in diameter about 5” long with a 3/4” hole, and it has 7 of them. The diagram I find only has 4.
If anyone can lead me to the right diagram or a place to get rollers I would appreciate the help!!!! Thank you |
I think you need part # 731-3305.
Parts lookup shows DECK ROLLER | Mfg. Date 1K019G & After - quantity - 7 https://www.mtdparts.com/en_US/misce.../731-3305.html |

****this post needs moved to the proper area:biggrin2:
The 289 is one of the best decks Cub ever built but their roller design is crap. My deck rollers were also shot but the replacement rollers are too much $. I made my own rollers and have 500+ hours on my deck and the rollers are still going strong. I took some 2" schedule 80 PVC pipe, a Goodyear 56038 hose, (8) 3/4"x2" flange bearings, (8) 3/4 shaft collars and a new 3/4 shaft and assembled as below. This was probably more money than buying replacement rollers but they last forever. When I do it again on another deck I will use different bearings because the flange bearings were pretty expensive.
