Belt size
 

I have a 1862 with a 50C deck . I have a PTO with the larger pulley on it, what size belt should I use?

The correct belt for your application is 954-3003A V-BELT 5/8 x 89 1/2

thank you. so the belt is the same if the pto has the larger pulley on it?
the bearing was bad on the 1862 and I have a 1864 parts tractor that I pulled that clutch off of.

On my 582 with the CH20 Kohler Command transplant with it's original 6" PTO and the 582's 44C deck with the stock 4.5" drive pulley, I used IH- 135462-C1 or 754-3006 or 954-3006 which is 5/8" x 93" long. It works fine.

The original PTO to deck belt belt for both 1862 and 582 with the OE 4.5" PTO with either the 50C OR 44C deck is 954-3003A, which is 5/8" x 89.5" long.

Be aware that you will be overdriving the deck, which Cub Cadet never advocated due to safety regulations. I find that the 44C cuts very well overdriven, but it may shorten the deck bearings life.
