782 Wiring problem
 

I obtained this tractor in December of 2014. After collecting repair parts and looking at the project over the years, I figured I better get this thing done or sell it. Currently, it is laying in pieces on my garage floor.

I had an M-18 overhauled and this engine will replace the parts missing KT-17. I have a used wiring harness from, what I am told, a newer 18 series tractor. It has an ignition switch, PTO switch, light connections Hour Meter, etc.

I am told that there needs to be some sort of relay installed to stop the engine. Can anyone tell me how that works, and what I need to buy to make it work?

The Relay modification was only used on the original 782 Wiring Harness. Does NOT apply to the 18xx series tractors.

To stop the engine that uses a magneto, it needs to be grounded. Just use the ignition switch and wiring harness for a 1811.
