Tire tread
 

My 1810 has OEM turf tires front and back. For snow plowing I add wheel weights and snow chains. This combo works well but Ive been wondering how cleated ag tires would work plowing snow without chains. Does anyone have experience using ag tires without chains for plowing snow?

Ags are not the best in snow.
Turf tread with chains and lotsa weight work the best for me in snow.

I tried plowing with ag tires one year. The first time they worked ok, because it was a light snow and the ground wasn’t frozen yet. The next time I tried them, the ground was frozen and they didn’t do very good. I made one pass down the driveway, and put it away and got out my other tractor that was set up with turfs and chains to finish. Never tried them again after that.

What do you guys run on the front? If the snow is heavy and my blade is angled it tends to push the front of my machine. Maybe ribbed front tires would help that?
