105 Shaft
I have been hearing a little scratching/hitting in the fan area on my 105, so I got looking and two bolts holding the fan guard came out, so I replaced them. That stopped the scratching/hitting for awhile, but then yesterday it came back, and the bolts were tight. But I watched the drive shaft turn as I cranked it and it was bouncing around, so I checked the vibration disks and they were tight and looked fine. So then I checked the drive shaft, and it's bent. My question is, how could this have happened, and is there something else I need to replace besides the shaft?:bigthink:

I'm not entirely sure. It could've just warped over time or a bolt for it might of came a little loose. Thats all i got. When you get a new one just make sure its all aligned.

Im just saying when i got my 127 it was bend a bit but how i noticed it it cause alot of vibration. The 127 also sat for a long time and such so i just assume it gets warpped over time.

Made my own for my 1250. 5/8 round stock from your local hardware store.

Alright....I have found out that my shaft is not bent. The end that goes into the hydro's input shaft it worn. I have ordered a new flex disc (because I figured this probably wasn't good for it) but what should I do about this worn end?:bigthink:
Thanks |
weld it up and file down .....or make / buy a new one . I welded mine .
