Front engine seal for a 129
 

The other day I was mowing with my 1971 129 and I noticed that I was getting sprayed by engine oil from the front shaft today when I took the engine apart the seal was completely gone what type of seal is it and what’s the part number so I can replace it the sooner the better because the tractor is seriously needed in two weeks time

Sounds like a seal is in order. If you go to the banners at the top of
the page. Click on Cub Cadet Parts lookup. Find your tractor and then you
should be able to get a part number. Then use that part number to
find someone with the part. Cub Cadet Specialties would be a good
bet.
If you haven't already, a good plan is to find your tractor manual on

Be aware, if by "front shaft" you mean behind the PTO,
that you will need the rear seal for a K301.
